apply for project

Before applying for a research project with WIRA-SET at one of our testbeds, you should understand the capabilities and resources made available to you, as well as the caliber of projects we grant. The proposal submission process is straightforward and efficient. After submission, we will be in direct contact with you to develop the project into a feasible experiment.

Apply for industrial project

This is how it works

Is WIRA-SET right for you?

In addition to the academic partners involved in the consortium, participation in WIRA-SET and access to its infrastructure are available to all researchers affiliated with WISE (research projects), as well as to industrial participants from related electrochemical fields (industrial projects).

How can I access the testbed?

Access to the testbed facilities and specialized expertise is granted through a competitive application and review process. Each testbed owner manages access and resource allocation according to their own budgets. Furthermore, testbeds owners have the option to extend access to their facilities beyond the selected projects if they choose to do so.

How do we evalute the proposals?

When evaluating incoming applications, we consider the feasibility and potential of the planed experiment presented, as well as the capacity of the testbed intending to execute the project.

How do we implement your project?

If access to the testbed is granted for your project, we will collaborate closely with you to plan and execute it. Our team of scientists, engineers, and technicians will work diligently to provide all necessary support for a successful series of experiments. Adherence to our guidelines and safety protocols will be required throughout the project. Progress updates will be shared via a blog to inform others about our collaboration. Scientific findings will remain confidential until you choose to publish them.

This is how we handle IP

1. Confidential Information.

Both you and the testbed must maintain confidentiality of any data, documents, or other materials (in any format) identified as sensitive during the implementation of the research project. Upon request, we may agree to extend the confidentiality period (e.g., for publication in scientific journals or patents).

2. Intellectual Property (IP) and Related Matters

During the implementation of your research project with the WIRA-SET testbed, intellectual property (IP) is managed according to the following principles:

Researcher Ownership: As an academic researcher, you retain ownership of the IP generated while using the testbed. The testbed is considered a tool for your research project, and the provider does not claim ownership of the results.

Agreements and Contracts: Detailed IP ownership and usage rights are governed by the agreement signed between you and the WIRA-SET testbed. This agreement specifies terms regarding IP ownership, usage rights, confidentiality, publication, and other relevant aspects of the collaboration.

As the owner of research data generated using the testbed, you bear ultimate responsibility for ensuring ethical conduct and compliance with retention requirements.

The WIRA-SET testbed owns engineering data. In this capacity, it is responsible for providing efficient equipment that undergoes periodic calibration to ensure operational accuracy and safety.
